The small print

Repair Warranty :-

  1. Surfboard Repairs:-
    All repairs will, unless otherwise stated, carry a 6-month warranty, for workmanship and materials. repair will be checked by our quality control assessment for uniformity, flexibility and joint sheer strength. 

    • However we draw your attention to the footnotes below
      • Our board and sail repairs are effectively stronger than the surrounding original material.
      • However, we cannot guaranty against:-
        • Degradation of the manufactures materials or production processes
        • A similar incident to that which damage the original material in the first place will not bring about similar damage to our repair or to the original material situated adjacent to our repair
  2. iSUP repairs:

    1.    Seam ruptures; this is normally due to excessive pressure either by;

    a.    Inflating the board beyond its safe working pressure as detailed by its manufacturer / brand; 

    b.    Leaving the board inflated in the sun or an excessively warm place where the internal pressure of the board can increase beyond its safe working pressure as detailed by its manufacturer / brand.

    2.    When a board suffers a seam rupture from excessive pressure, experience has shown that seam weaknesses have probably developed elsewhere on the board which may not be immediately apparent as the blow-out would have saved the rest of the seam from further damage. Nevertheless, normal working pressure for the board could produce further seam failures. Therefore, we recommend reducing the pressure you typically inflated your board to in order to extend its lifespan.

    3.    We warranty our puncture repairs on impact holes and cuts for up to 3 years. (subject to fair wear and tear)

    4.    We give a up to 12 month warranty on valves repairs.

    5.    We give a 12 month warranty on our re-bonding repairs of seam ruptures which is limited to our repair only.

    6.    Our warranty is limited to “our repair only” and no other areas on the board whatsoever on any account.

    7.    However, we cannot a warranty against:

    a)    Degradation of the manufacture’s materials or production processes.

    b)    A similar incident to that which damage the original material in the first place will not bring about similar damage to our repair or to the original material situated adjacent to our repair.

    8.    When a board suffers a seam failure from excessive pressure, experience has shown that seam weaknesses might have developed elsewhere on the board and may not be apparent as the blow-out would have saved the rest of the seam from further damage. Nevertheless, normal working pressure for the board could produce a further seam failure. We advise future inflation to be reduced to no more than 80% of its recommended working pressure as the seams on the rest of the board may well have weakened from over pressurising the board. to in order to extend its lifespan.

    9.    Our warranty does not cover damage from over exposure to Sun, Heat or Ultraviolet.


  3. Warranty exclusions:-
    • Repair warranty does not cover against abrasion, excessive heat or misuse and only covers "Normal Use"; not damage or breakage due to over stressing, improper use, over use, lack of reasonable maintenance or being used with other unmatched equipment.
    • This means :- "Suitable for use in controlled and normal conditions." Accidental and or impact damage, abuse and natural wear and tear are not covered by the above repair warranty.

  4. Warranty procedure:-
    • If you believe you have a repair warranty claim within our repair warranty period, you must notify us in writing without delay before the warranty period expires.
    • You will need to detail the original repair date, the board in question, the damage that we repaired and enclose an image of the failed repair.
    • We will then make contact to arrange for you to bring the board in question back to us for assessment or to have the repair rectified. Rectification of a failed board repair is the full extent of our warranty liability.
    • However, if you choose to take your board to an alternative facility to carry out work to our original repair area, our repair warranty will be cancelled. We will not liable for any consequential costs that could be involved.
