abrasive paper (rough)

Scotch-Brite pad

2-part clear
resin kit

Cleaned
out yogurt pot

1cm brush

Old credit card or similar
-
Cling-film

25mm Masking
tape

Stage 2
Preparation: |
- Flush out the
damaged and surrounding area with fresh water and allow to dry completely.
(sea water will not dry and will not allow the repair to key into the
board)
- Rub down the damaged
area with 80grade paper
-
Blow out the debris
- Cut sufficient
glass matting to cover the damaged area and about 1cm overlap

Stage 3
The Resin repair: |

Stage 4
Second resin application: |

Sand down the excess resin and glass
matting.
-
Mix
some more resin (equal parts) in the plastic container
-
Brush on the some of the mixed resin to the damaged area.
-
Now rest the bottom of the container with the rest of the resin mix into
some hand hot water to heat the resin for about 10 minutes.
-
Poor the warmed resin mix over the repair and smooth out with the credit
card until the resin starts to thicken then leave overnight.
