Application instructions Rail Runner

The Rail Runner Armour kits are supplied in two 814mm x 114mm self adhesive sheets. Please read all the instructions before starting.

Take one sheet of the Rail Runner and using a tape measure and straight edge, mark or score a centre line lengthwise along the sheet to give two parts, each 814 x 57mm.

Using a sharp pair of scissors or a sharp knife, cut down the marked line to give yourself two pieces of Rail Runner each measuring 814mm x 57mm. Then carefully cut each corner to make round corners.

Preparing a used board; rub down the rails with fine sand paper to smooth out any scuffs and small surface undulations and then prepare as for a new board. Remove any impurities with white spirits and allow to dry completely.
Preparing a new board; clean the rails of your board to ensure there are no impurities on the surface; wash with fresh clean water and dry off. Remove any wax, oil or grease and impurities with white spirits, isopropyl alcohol or nail varnish remover and let dry completely.  Now you can remove the backing paper from one piece of the finished sized Rail Runner sheet for about 20cm only. Apply one end of the sheet approximately half way along the rail of your board and press into place.
Progressively remove the backing paper and apply the rest of the sheet towards the end of the board. Once in position press down firmly along the top of the Rail Runner

Now press down firmly along the lower edge of the Rail Runner until the Rail Runner is firmly in place. Now you can apply the 2nd piece of Rail Runner as above again starting from the centre, butting up to the edge of the 1st piece and then progressively apply the rest of the sheet towards the other end of the board.
Now repeat the opposite rail.
