Drops CNC Construction:
Drops uses leading
edge CNC Milling techniques to produce one of the best balanced windsurfing
boards in production with their unique variable thickness glass, carbon and
Kevlar sandwich construction.
CNC Milling Technology linked to off-line CAD CAM control can produce the most
accurate 3D shapes presently available. CNC milling is used in the most advanced
Aerospace and Marine Engineering industries and now also by Drops to create the
main core and Drops unique variable thickness sandwich. Each board has its own
unique variable thickness sandwich criteria along with its individual
intelligent lay-ups of glass, carbon and Kevlar which makes for the ultimate
combination of design faithfulness, lightness and strength.
The Drops CNC variable thickness sandwich construction and intelligent composite
lay-up is highly recommended by Blue Chip.

Construction:
Full Carbon Kevlar
Sandwich Technology;
A single oversized 10mm block of high density PVC foam is
3 dimensionally CNC milled to give a variable thickness sandwich with intelligent carbon and
Kevlar
lay-up.
Fin Box:
Reinforced power box attached
to both the hull and the deck with a single block of high density PVC. This
is the strongest form of fin box reinforcement.
