 2009 Aeron Tapered Booms

2009 Aeron Continuous T8 Alloy Tapered Multi-Fit Booms
Aeron introduces possibly the stiffest alloy boom on the market. With specialized alloy tempering process, we have arrived at the optimal strength - stiffness ratio and still getting a reduced diameter of just 29mm including the EVA grip.
Implementing the tapering technology with the newest ergonomic bends , the result is enhanced rig control and feel that has to be experienced to be believed. The stiffness of these Aeron booms is incredible and sets a new standard for alloy booms.

Head : The Boom head was designed with over 20 years experience in windsurf component design. The design decreases weight and brings the boom tubes as close to the mast as possible thus improving swing weight. The low profile ensures maximum safety especially with all the new school tricks of today. The proven mast cup ensures maximum grip with minimum point load on the mast. The head is assembled over a high density over moulded rubber part to ensure the maximum rigidity while giving grip while rig handling close to the mast cup. This is also a multi-fit head compatible with all RDM / skinny masts.

Grip Texture : The EVA is thermally formed to produce a texture to improve grip and comfort simultaneously. The total diameter of the MCT26 including the 1.5mm Pro-Grip is an amazing 29mm

Wave/Freeride Tail Housing: Double Riveted on the Wave and Freeride booms with loop & go.

Slalom/Racing Tail Housing :
the Triple pulley cleatable tail found on carbon race booms are now fitted to the T8 Slalom Boom and is therefore compatible with adjustable outhaul systems.

Adjustment: The single pin U clip is secured over a stainless pin-this ensures the part has the same locking function even as the boom ages-There is no looseness due to wearing of parts.

Aeron MCT26 100% Carbon Monocoque Multi-Fit Booms
The 2008 Aeron Carbon boom range are constructed with a continuous carbon sock laid up in a heated steel mould and infused with resin under pressure. This construction offers the best stiffness and strength consistency. Many Carbon booms on the market rely on the strength offered by a glued joint where boom head and boom arms meet ¡n a V, in most cases this is the area where the booms fail.
